  Eligibility Criteria                                           

  • Age Requirement:

    • Be under 45 years of age at the time of invitation.

  • Skilled Occupation:

  • Skills Assessment:

  • English Proficiency:

    • Demonstrate at least Competent English through valid test scores:

      • IELTS: Minimum 6 in each band.

      • OET: Minimum B in each band.

      • TOEFL iBT: Minimum 12 (Listening), 13 (Reading), 21 (Writing), 18 (Speaking).

    • Alternatively, hold a valid passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or Ireland.

  • Points Test:

    • Achieve a minimum of 65 points based on factors such as:

      • Age.

      • English proficiency.

      • Qualifications.

      • Skilled work experience.

  • Health and Character:

    • Meet Australia’s health and character requirements.

  • Expression of Interest (EOI):

    • Submit an EOI via SkillSelect and receive an invitation to apply.

  Application Process                                    

The application process involves four stages:

Stage 1: Initial Eligibility Assessment

  • Assess your qualifications, work experience, English proficiency, and nominated occupation.

  • Ensure your occupation is on the MLTSSL.

  • Determine your likelihood of meeting the 65-point threshold.

Stage 2: Skills Assessment

  • Obtain a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation.

  • Provide supporting documents (e.g., qualifications, work references).

Stage 3: Expression of Interest (EOI)

  • Submit an EOI through the SkillSelect portal.

  • Provide details about your skills, qualifications, and work experience.

  • Your EOI will be ranked against other applicants.

  • If selected, you will receive an invitation to apply.

Stage 4: Visa Application

  • Lodge your visa application within 60 days of receiving the invitation.

  • Submit all required documents, including:

  • Skills assessment.

  • English language test results.

  • Proof of qualifications and work experience.

  • Character and health clearances.

  • Await processing and decision from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA).
